Gulf Shores, Alabama’s newest resort rapidly expands operating team and on-site amenities
Gulf Shores, Alabama–September 20, 2018–As ONE CLUB Gulf Shores makes its mark on the Gulf Coast as the best sport and living resort in the Southeast, it has just announced the hiring of three seasoned professionals and leaders to join the ONE CLUB team.
“ONE CLUB Gulf Shores is the newest vacation destination in the Southeast and is located in a stunning and underrated area,” said Daniel M. Palmier, owner of ONE CLUB. “Gulf Shores, Alabama is on par with Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, and other top beach resort towns. Our new, experienced professionals will be creating memory making lifestyle experiences, both for Stay & Play visitors and those that have made ONE CLUB their second home. We’re excited to welcome them to the team.”
Melvin “Trey” Harris and Allison Kelman are Bar 45’s new Food and Beverage Managers. Harris previously served as the manager of The Hangout, Gulf Shores’ biggest and most popular bar and restaurant.
“I’ve heard so many wonderful things from residents since UC Funds purchased ONE CLUB and completed a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranding,” said Harris. “When the opportunity presented itself to join ONE CLUB, I had to take it. ONE CLUB and Bar 45 are designed to be a ‘home away from home’ for patrons. It’s comfortable, cozy, and friendly. I’m excited to join the ONE CLUB Team and create a fun event calendar for travelers and residents alike.”
Kelman was the previous Food & Beverage Manager at Dedham Country & Polo Club in Dedham, Massachusetts, where she directly managed a team of over 30 employees.
“Upon visiting ONE CLUB, I was captivated by the remarkable potential for success because of the location and all the wonderful renovations that had been made. Not to mention the beautiful, crystal-white beaches just minutes away,” said Kelman. “There are so many possibilities for golf tournaments, private events, dinner parties, and even weddings, that I knew it was the perfect time to become a member of the ONE CLUB Team. I hope to use my experience and passion for event planning to elevate overall entertainment provided by ONE CLUB to include everything from exquisite dining in Bar 45 to delivering the best Stay & Play golf experiences available!”
Rounding out the trio is Alex Espana, ONE CLUB’s newest leader for the golf course and tournament programs. Before ONE CLUB, Ms. Espana spent eight years as the Golf Shop/Merchandising Manager at Columbus Country Club in Columbus, Georgia. She currently serves on the Haskins Commission as the director of Marketing and Communications for both the Fred Haskins Award and ANNIKA Award – which are presented to the most outstanding male and female collegiate golfers of the year. Espana earned her Bachelor’s degree from Columbus State University, where she played on the first women’s golf team. Ms. Espana reports to Shane Allen, ONE CLUB Pro and Head of Golf.
